After watching their electricity prices increase year after
year, the McCarthy’s resolved to do something proactive
to combat it. SolarFlair performed an analysis of the
house and designed a 4.32 kW PV system for the

$38,400. SolarFlair was able to capture $9,072 from the
Commonwealth Solar Rebate II for this installation. With
the rebate, federal tax credit, electricity savings, and
SREC revenue, the system will pay for itself in 4.5
years. More than 50% of the system is paid for
through the state rebate and federal tax credit alone.
The McCarthy's were happy to report to SolarFlair
an electricity bill savings of $50 in the first month the system was up and running, November, and expect it to increase in the future.
The all black panel models placed on their roof have drawn particular attention from passersby. When neighbors walk by they say, “I saw you got solar panels, they look so awesome on your roof” claims owner Mrs. McCarthy.
