Morville House Solar Feasibility Study- Boston, MA
Next Project Morville House is a 12 story high-rise in the Fenway Community of Boston that provides affordable housing for low income elders. SolarFlair was hired by the property owner to conduct a solar feasibility study and incorporate solar technologies into the plans for a renovation/addition. SolarFlair wrote a competitive grant and won $20,000 to fund the study so the owner paid nothing out of pocket. SolarFlair brought together a variety of stakeholders including the developer, architect, community planners, and utility engineers. The final report assessed the feasibility of solar electric (PV) awnings on the south side of the building and a rooftop solar hot water system.
