Our Team

SolarFlair's management team demonstrates our commitment to solar energy and the experience to back it up. We have decades of experience in solar installation and electrical systems in commercial and home settings, as well as a broad range of relevant degrees and certifications.

 

Matt Arner - President

Matt is the founder and President of SolarFlair Energy Inc. His passion and leadership in the renewable energy industry is clearly shown by SolarFlair's growth: the company has doubled its revenue in each of the past four years.

Matt is a NABCEP Certified PV Installation Professional. He serves on the Board of Directors for the Boston Area Solar Energy Association and is an active member of the Solar Energy Business Association of New England (SEBANE). Before starting SolarFlair, he worked as an independent solar energy consultant, developing several solar photovoltaic projects in the Boston area and overseas in developing countries.

In 2002, Matt was chosen as the only United States representative by India’s Ministry of Non-Conventional Energy Sources to attend the “International Training Program on Solar Energy” at the Indian Institute of Technology in Bombay. He was also invited by the United Nations Development Program to attend the “Nepal Conference on Clean Energy Investment” as a representative of the solar PV industry. Matt received a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering with a minor in international studies from Worcester Polytechnic Institute in 1998. After working two years for Accenture Consulting as a management consultant to large industrial clients, he attended the Heller School for Social Policy and Management at Brandeis University and completed his Masters Degree in International Development in 2001 with a focus on the renewable energy industry.

 

Jeff Constantine – Director of Operations

Jeff has more than 25 years experience in the electrical industry and is a Master Electrician. As the Director of Operations for SolarFlair, his responsibilities include managing our work teams, sourcing and managing all material resources, and overseeing safety and quality for all installations.

Prior to joining the company, Jeff managed his own electrical contracting business focusing on energy systems for commercial and residential properties. He has worked at every level of electrical contracting, beginning his career as an electrical apprentice and working his way up to serve as a top foreman.

 

Daniel T. Greenwood – Manager of Business Development

Dan is the Manager of Business Development for SolarFlair. He is recognized by the Green Building Certification Institute as a LEED Accredited Professional. Prior to joining SolarFlair, he worked in the electrical construction industry for over 20 years.

Dan was previously Executive Director at the RELCO Companies, and also served as Vice President and Project Manager at Quanta Services, a national provider of electrical infrastructure services. He has successfully managed medium-voltage infrastructure projects and provided energy efficient solutions for commercial and institutional buildings throughout the United States. Dan has worked with a diverse group of customers including NASA, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Department of the Navy, USDA, Air National Guard, California State University, University of Massachusetts, State of Pennsylvania and State of Maryland.

Dan received a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute in 1992 and an MBA from Boston University in 2007 where he focused on the renewable energy industry.

 

Phil Harris – Project Manager

Phil is SolarFlair's Project Manager and NABCEP Certified PV Installation Professional. He is responsible for designing and managing all SolarFlair Installations.

A passionate believer in clean energy, Phil has been working toward its implementation for over 5 years. Prior to joining SolarFlair, Phil worked for SunEdison LLC, promoting the deployment of solar energy throughout the western United States. He has also worked at A123Systems Inc. focusing on advanced battery development for hybrid and electric cars. Phil received a BS in Mechanical Engineering from Tufts University in 2004.
