Licensed Journeyman Electrician: MA & RI


Want to join the expanding solar energy industry?  We have openings for Licensed Electricians as Project Foreman/Woman or as installation team members.

Responsibilities:

  • Install solar electric systems on homes and commercial buildings
  • Interact with customers to schedule installations and inspections
  • Work directly with Project Manager and Outside Superintendent.

 

Requirements:

  • Journeyman License in MA and/or RI, including at least 3 years direct electrical installation experience
  • Proficient with hand tools and pipe bending
  • Comfortable working on ladders, roofs and lifts
  • Able to lift 60 pounds
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to learn quickly in a fast-paced startup environment
  • Excellent time management skills

Residential Sales Associate: Solar Energy

Are you passionate about Renewable Energy and want to join the expanding solar industry? SolarFlair Energy, Inc. is a fast growing solar energy company based in Ashland, MA and we have an opening for a full-time residential sales associate to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Receive sales leads by telephone and email.  Log and track leads.
  • Qualify leads and schedule site visits with potential clients.
  • Generate sales opportunities from new lead sources.
  • Assess the property and client needs during site visits.  Use a ladder to climb on the roof, measure roof space for solar panels, conduct shading analysis, document current electrical system in home. 
  • Explain to the customer how the system works and the details of SolarFlair product offerings.
  • Develop and deliver proposals, including knowledge of pricing structure.
  • Follow up with client and close sales.
  • Hand off signed contracts to Project Manager.
  • Assist management with marketing strategy, planning and execution.
  • Represent SolarFlair at local trade shows and energy fairs. 
  • Develop and deliver informational presentations to groups of homeowners.
     

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years work experience in sales capacity
  • Proven success in a sales role
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient with MS Office, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Experience with Salesforce.com preferred
  • Must have vehicle for Sales visits, Business mileage reimbursed
  • Experience in Solar PV & Solar Hot Water preferred

Commercial Sales Associate: Solar Energy

Responsibilities:

  • Sell commercial solar photovoltaic systems, including roof lease and net metering credit agreements from initial client contact through full payment.
  • Generate sales opportunities from new lead sources from personal networking and cold calling, managing leads and opportunities in Salesforce.com
  • Establish relationships with developers of commercial real estate projects including new construction, rehabilitation of existing structures and ground mounted systems.
  • Qualify leads and schedule site visits with prospects.
  • Assess customer's property and client's needs during site visits:  use a ladder to climb on roofs, measure roof for solar panels, conduct shading analysis, and document current electrical system and structural support.
  • Develop and deliver customer proposals, including a full project financial analysis. 
  • Identify appropriate financing structures to meet the client’s investment goals.
  • Vigorously follow up with clients and close sales through continuous client contact during all phases of project.
  • Provide sales reports using Salesforce.com for company managers.
  • Provide signed contracts and/or roof leases along with pertinent information to the Operations Department
  • Represent company at trade shows and energy fairs.
  • Develop and deliver informational presentations to groups of commercial property owners, industry professionals and other potential commercial/industrial clients.
  • Organize press events and create press releases for completed solar projects.
  • Lead development and execution of marketing strategies with Company Management.
  • Assist Company with operations and project management for projects after sale.
     

Requirements:

  • 5 years business to business selling experience of a high end product or service with proven goal achievement.
  • Technical and financial aptitude to comprehensively learn and sell company’s products and services
  • Overall solar industry knowledge preferred:  product trends, pricing structures, public policy, financial tools i.e. rebates and SREC’s, regional commercial property marketplace, and competition.
  • Basic understanding of commercial buildings electrical systems and roof structures.
  • Hold a valid driver’s license and good driving record
  • Availability for occasional early morning, evening or weekend work appointments and promotional events.
  • Ability to and comfort with climbing on ladders, walking on roofs
  • Comfortable speaking in front of business audiences
  • BS. or BA degree preferred
  • Ability to use or learn to use Salesforce.com, CRM software

Accountant: Part-Time

Want to join the expanding solar energy industry?  We have an opening for a part-time Accountant to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Enter purchase orders, receipts, job cost material to projects, oversee quarterly inventory count, and reconcile discrepancies.  Identify and resolve inventory issues.
  • Enter credit card transactions, reconcile statements monthly, investigate any issues.
  • Assist with quarterly and year-end close.
  • Update operating procedures as necessary and ensure compliance.
  • Special accounting or financial reporting projects.

Requirements:

  • Solid understanding of accounting principles, sales and use tax, and their application.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel and Word skills.
  • QuickBooks experience a plus.
  • Associates degree or higher in accounting.
